Agua Bendita + Agua by Agua Bendita

Pasarela Inaugural

In the heart of Medellín, under the gaze of Fernando Botero’s sculptures, Agua Bendita returned home. More than a decade after its last appearance at Colombiamoda, the brand that was born on these runways chose Plaza Botero to write a new chapter. The choice was no accident: transforming one of the city’s most emblematic spaces into a fashion stage was, in itself, a declaration. Medellín is not only industry—it is culture, art, and memory. Agua Bendita positioned itself as the bridge between them all.

Two Worlds, One Voice
The runway unfolded as a story in two acts, mirroring the natural cycle of day and night. The first act, “Hijas del Agua”, carried Agua Bendita’s own voice. To the rhythm of Karol G, the catwalk came alive with fresh silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and prints that evoked biodiversity and roots. More than one hundred artisans transformed threads and beads into pieces that celebrated the handmade—luxury redefined through craft.

Then came “Ocaso”, by Agua by Agua Bendita, and the atmosphere shifted. Daylight gave way to sophistication: velvets, sheer fabrics, and silks built a landscape rich in artisanal detail. Hand-embroidered chokers, long gloves, and berets evoked echoes of colonial pasts, reimagined with a contemporary gaze. The palette—wine, mustard, deep green, and orange—spoke of introspection, of a serene, mature luxury that revealed another facet of femininity.

If “Hijas del Agua” radiated overflowing vitality, “Ocaso” embodied pause and contemplation.

The show also underlined the evolution of Agua Bendita S.A.S. What began as a Colombian swimwear icon has now consolidated into a global fashion group with a diversified portfolio: ready-to-wear, resortwear, and luxury streetwear. That expansion has not diluted its DNA; on the contrary, it has reinforced a global language while safeguarding the artisanal pulse that defines it. A trajectory that has secured its place in initiatives with giants such as Gucci Vault and Target.

Strategic alliances at the Colombiamoda 2025 Opening Runway further emphasized this vision: Aguardiente Antioqueño, Skechers, AMORFA, and Stanley joined forces, merging popular culture, lifestyle, and everyday luxury. Serving aguardiente in ceramic cups from El Carmen de Viboral was a subtle yet powerful gesture: artisanal tradition elevated to contemporary ritual.

Music was as much a protagonist as the textiles. From reggaeton and salsa to boleros and Cuban son, the runway became a sonic mosaic bridging generations, geographies, and emotions. Every note seemed to embroider the garments’ stories, reminding us that fashion is not only seen—it is heard, felt, and lived.

Agua Bendita’s return to Colombiamoda was not an act of nostalgia, but a reaffirmation of power and vision. With one foot rooted in tropical sensuality and the other in global sophistication, the brand delivered a narrative of Colombian identity that resonates both as luxury and as origin.

In Medellín, under Botero’s watch, Agua Bendita reminded us that fashion is more than clothing: it is a language that speaks of who we were, who we are, and who we aspire to be.
